COPENHAGEN (AFP) – Eighteen Greenpeace activists who scaled an oil rig off Greenland to protest oil prospecting in the Arctic were on Saturday arrested by police, the environmental group said.
To the majority of humanists who think poorly of Greenpeace, PETA and other group trying to prevent exploitation of the environment/animals I say this; do you really believe Greenpeace is working with some conspiratorial New World Order bent on preventing billions of dollars in profit by protesting the exploitation of the Arctic? All you who claim Global Warming is a farce have you ever thought that it is a form of reverse psychology TO GET YOU FIGHTING FOR EXPLOITATION? The New World Order or whatever you want to call it thrives of exploitation of all kinds; Greenpeace is standing in the way (quite bravely in fact). Would you risk your life climbing a rig and risking death in order to protest ANY sort of exploitation? No, you wouldn't and all I hear is how human beings deserve freedom and respect blah blah blah...What makes you think you deserve NOT to be exploited by powerful forces who want to drill in the arctic? You're on the same side of such forces by your very attitude against "tree huggers" or "left wing conspiracies." Most "truth seekeres" I hear should drop all pretenses and just join in with the raping and exploitation of the planet. Drilling in the arctic has so many ramifications it's just too long a list to go into in this comment section. Suffice it to say, you who don't want to be exploited by big business ought to take a look at what YOU can do to stop the exploitation which will lead to contaminated air and drinking water. I know you could care less about the animals' natural habitat in the Arctic such as the Polar Bear but, because you don't see that their quality of life affects your quality of life you'll just go on about how industry must thrive. Why should powerful corporate New World Order types care about your suffering? You are to them what a Polar Bear is to you...Think about it before condemning those who understand the big picture such as Greenpeace. Humanism leads to the exploitation of humans in the name of human evolution. THAT is the cause you fight for and you deserve to bebeing compromised in the name of "human progress."
