"Racism" vs Murder; which is worse?

I found these two articles on the same news page.  One appears to give both sides of the issue and one doesn't.  One appears to be much more dangerous than the other.  Lastly, the commentary of one seems to be unforgiving of the transgressor while the other rationalizing.  Did I mention that the races of both perpetrators were different as well and that one is a crime and the other isn't?  You decide...

Bronx Catholic school principal Frank Borzellieri fired over ties to white supremacist group

A Bronx parochial school principal was fired Tuesday from his post at a largely minority school after the Daily News exposed his writings for a white supremacist group.
The dismissal of Frank Borzellieri from Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in the Bronx became a black and white issue: His opinions were deemed "incompatible" with Catholic teachings.
The firing was quickly hailed by the ex-principal's critics, including his old boss at another Catholic school.
"I'm so glad I just can't tell you," said Annemarie Zagaglia, former principal at St. Barnabas elementary school. "People are really happy."

Psychiatric facility supervisor charged with strangling autistic patient to death

A supervisor at a Staten Island psychiatric facility was indicted Wednesday for strangling an autistic patient during a botched effort to subdue him, authorities said.
Jawara Henry, 27, died Dec. 4 at the South Beach Psychiatric Center while Erik Stanley was attempting to restrain him.
Henry was agitated and very aggressive and had bitten other patients and at least one staffer, Staten Island District Attorney Daniel Donovan said.
Stanley, a 37-year-old developmental aide supervisor, told investigators he followed proper procedure, a law enforcement source said.

I thought these two articles on the same page was a very good estimation of two events judged on an unequal scale.  Transgressions are becoming as unequal as the dollar is with regards to inflation.  All people are created equal but some are more equal than others as seen by these 2 articles.  Your power will be turned off if even just a dollar goes unpaid while the billion-dollar, 8-acre National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center gets built without taxpayer approval:
